I am a dedicated private reading and writing tutor with over twelve years of teaching experience in the special education field. In my various roles in public schools, special education schools, and private reading clinics, I have garnered the skills and expertise for highly effective literacy instruction, culminating in a proven-track record of student success.
​
I specialize in teaching reading and writing to elementary and middle school age children with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities. As a former special education teacher at Landmark School and as a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association, I remain informed about best instructional practices for students with LBLD. I utilize multisensory, research-based programs to help struggling students make measurable gains in all areas of reading and writing development.

I pride myself in the ability to create comprehensive, individualized lessons targeted to address students’ specific needs, learning styles, and interests. With over five years of remote teaching experience, I have acquired the tools and know-how to create interactive online lessons that engage young children.
Parents have often told me that my warm and enthusiastic demeanor fosters a positive learning environment. Many parents see an increase in their child's skills and confidence levels within a short amount of time. As an educator, there is no greater feeling than knowing you have made a positive impact in a child's life.
